Watercolour painting featuring the saltbush plants that grow along the beach path near Ricketts Point, Melbourne.
I have painted onto heavy cotton watercolour paper, this has then been applied to a wooden panel with deep sides, and then a wax coating has been applied to seal the image. This method of mounting gives a fresh contemporary feel to a traditional medium.
The wood panel is is 30 x 30 cm, and 4 cm deep.
The painting is sealed with a wax finish and ready to hang with picture wire.
